[Jun had seen Hunter's return on the network. He had thought of sending a message, but he really didn't know what to say. Anything he did type up felt inappropriate or wrong, so he deleted them each time before sending. He just wasn't good at verbally navigating these things. No matter how much his dad tried, emotional competency just wasn't Jun's strong suit. Eventually he gave up and tossed his phone aside, deciding a different tactic.
A few days later, Hunter will find a package set in front of his door. In the package there's a number of things: a pack of bird seed from August's family's bird sanctuary, a carefully wrapped bag of homemade sugar cookies decorated to look like cardinals, and then...well, he started hitting a wall about what Hunter's interests were, so he threw in a bag of coffee grounds (cause Hunter has the look of a person who is personally against sleep) and a YA novel about magic stuff that is very much standard YA novel faire. Oh, and also a first aid kit that seems focused around treating stab wounds - just in case???
The package contains a get well soon card that has a handwritten note of "Welcome back!" and a drawing of a cardinal.
[Hunter really, really isn't expecting any deliveries. After retrieving Flapjack it takes him a while to calm down, and he's still processing the whole having died business and what that means. Namely, what that'll mean when Belos finds out, because in his mind that's an inevitability.
He's very confused when he opens up the door to his apartment and finds the basket there. Taking it inside, he picks through everything, finding it all very... thoughtful? Of course anything cardinal-related goes over well, as does the coffee. He isn't sure about the book but it seems to be about magic so it's obviously getting read, and while the first aid kit is coming a little late, he had one of those from the Healing Coven back home, and he's sure it will come in handy.
The only issue is that he has no idea who this is from. Thanks, mysterious stranger????]
